About Us

Our Vision

Hug in a Jug was created to serve the needs of our growing senior community by delivering homemade soup, seasoned with love, support, and companionship. 


We bring love and warmth to seniors who are holocaust survivors, recovering from an illness or injury, live alone and are "shut-ins", and others who just need a friendly "pick-me-up" and some company. 

Our Mission

What starts as a simple soup delivery becomes a long lasting relationship between our volunteers and our seniors. 


This project of the Chabad of Aliso Viejo and Laguna Woods works to be the premier non-profit organization delivering weekly jugs of soup to Jewish residents across our Orange County community. 


Through generous donations and grants, and dozens of volunteers working to prepare, package, and deliver the soup, we are able to help hundreds of people in need and spread the warmth of Yiddishkeit and Tikkun Olam throughout our community.
